The Landing
A downloadable game
Enjoy mysteries? Interested in playing a short story with a creepy twist to it? Follow Shariam and lend her a hand as her Diceroller, as she uncovers that the game she just ordered is a bit more than she bargained for. Simple mystery and problem solving mechanics, blended with a short mystery story.
This is a proof of concept prototype built with RPG Maker MV and is intended to show the storyline and gameplay idea. The idea behind this is to move to an engine with more options while expanding on the customized tile-sets I purchased right here on itch.io. I'm currently working with a few people to bring this to light, and I wanted to share this prototype with everyone just to see what people's thoughts are.

Keyboad Controls are the main way to go:
Arrow Keys = Movement
Enter = Confirm
Esc = Cancel/Menu
Alternate Use of QMap Pulse = P
Alternate Use of QMap Menu = M
Please note, DO NOT skip through the text, it is set up to run at pace for
storytelling purposes. If skipped it will cause issues with the way the text
shows up.
QMap Device - Can be accessed from the Main Menu, but the "Pulse" function can ONLY be accessed via the button (This prevents a coding issue from getting the player stuck in the pulse menu when used from the main menu) The timer counts as it wishes, this is due to RPG Maker's Base programming, and can't be changed.
Sounds indicate there is something to be interacted with in that location, while incomplete it works for doorways, descriptive items like pictures, and interactable items like Arcade Machines.
Please note that fullscreen is not useable with this game, as it seems to crash. This is an ongoing bug that is being worked on.
